Movies again

From Paris with Love: Travolta is great, gotta admit. Another action, set in Paris.

Extraordinary Measures: Talk about commitment and determination. A guy that has two kids with a rare disease teams up with a scientist to run tests on a possible new miracle medication. Glad it works out in the end. Sad story, life can be hard when someone you love is not well.

Captain Corelli’s Mandolin: Cute, romantic, even though it is set during the war the place is amazing. I wanna visit Greece!
‘When you fall in love, it is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then it subsides. And when it subsides, you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together, that it is inconceivable that you should ever part; because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement. That is just being in love. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away. Doesn’t sound very exciting, but it is.’

Love, Honour and Obey: an English movie. Love the way they talk, shame I can never copy the accent. Love them gangster movies.

Baby Mama: another simple comedy. Weird way of two girls finding true friendship and love.

It’s Complicated: Families are complicated. Relationships are very complicated. Love Meryl Streep.

Prince of Persia: Love this kind of movie. The clothes, the setting, the fights, the romance, the story. All of it. Wish the world was that magical. Jake is great, love him.

All the King’s Men: Great cast! Story of a humble man’s rise to political power and the destructive force of corruption and betrayal. When everything is corrupt a man does not have to be.

Frost/Nixon: Corruption, corruption, corruption. And the power of TV. A journalist tried to get Nixon to confess to his mistakes and he sort of succeeded. Good movie to watch, if you like paying attention.

JFK: Like the longest movie ever. Good one though, again if you like paying attention, makes you really think of what actually happened, why and who killed JFK. Mystery will never be solved, but I sure think the story is actually a cover up story. The files on this will not be available to the public until 2030 or something, but the government is reviewing what they are going to make available because of this film, wonder why.

Everybody’s Fine: De Niro, always great. Story about a guy ith 4 kids that constantly keep him in the dark about their lives, he suddenly tries to figure out what they are up to and even with all the mess they want him to say everybody’s fine. Nobody has an easy life, that’s for sure.

Notting Hill: romance can be so nice. Good to see where you live on TV, funny sensation to know these places.

Face/Off: Travolta and Cage, two of my favourites. Love this one, their changes are really noticeable when they change faces, to me it’s great acting.

American Pie: Funny, I remember when this first came out, it was massive. Good laughs. Ain't college like the best time of our lives?

America Pie 2: More good laughs. Stifler is my favourite, kkkkkk. This one time, at band camp...

Coyote Ugly: Set in NYC, and with a cool bar. A girl with a dream, trying to pursue it by getting a first job at this cool bar. Any of those in London? Shame, would be fun.

Forbidden Kingdom: Ancient China. Another action packed with ancient wisdom and martial arts. Makes me always want to learn how to fight.

Valkyrie: WWII, Hitler’s Germany. Not sure how that man managed to be so lucky and escape all the assassinations attempts against him. This was a good plan, it was supposed to work, but in the military nothing goes according to plan. The meeting place changed, the bag with the bomb was moved, Hitler did not die and the rest is history. I wonder what would have happened if he did pass. Not all Germans were bad after all.

Four Christmases: Can’t spell families without lies. Very funny and in the end even romantic, a good laugh. Reese and Vince are a good match.

Solomon Kane: There was a time when all lands were dominated by evil, was there? We have no witches and black magic around but evil is sure always present. This movie is about redemption, a guy that did many wrongs trying to be a better person and redeem his soul.

The Runways: Rock n’ Roll forever! Love the clothes and the attitude! I love Rock n’ Roll, just put another dime in the juke box babe!

Precious: A long journey starts with the first step. This is such a sad story, especially because we choose to forget it happens in real life to real people. So sad. Some people need to be really strong just to live another day but good can come to everyone if they try. Puts your own views into perspective, we think we have a big problem sometimes but there is always someone with worse evils to deal with.

Let's see how many more i can watch in the next few days... Pin It
